Our History

1976

Hugo Edward Juarez founds the Immigrants Foundation.

Early 1980s

Unified Immigrants Alliance formed with umbrella organization leaders.

1986

1st International Cultures Conference, Passport to the World, and Immigrants Parade — Statue of Liberty centennial.

1989

NGO Consultative Status with U.N. ECOSOC — unanimously endorsed.

Early 2000s

Immigrants Building at 7 West 44th Street & 5th Avenue established.

2024

40th Annual Immigrants Parade through Midtown Manhattan — a historical milestone marking four unbroken decades of celebrating the world's cultures.

2026

41st Annual International Cultures–Immigrants Parade — Saturday, June 13, 2026, 11:00 AM, Avenue of the Americas. S.E.E.D. launches September 15. A new chapter begins.
