The Official Presentation of Nation Flags

Non-Members:

This is a free event for everyone to attend no need to RVSP.

Members Only:

*Members will have access to Reviewing Stand members only seating*

Coordinating Organizations will need to RVSP must confirm their participation to be included in the production of the event.

This requires the integration of 4 participants:

1. The flag Presenter (usually a Diplomat)
2. The Flag Waver (usually the NYC Mayor)
3. The Flag Recipient (usually the Community VIP)
4. The Flag Holder (usually a commnuity leader appointed by the National Coordinating Organization).

Flag Presentation Protocol:

• The Honorable Flag Presenter (Consul General, Ambassador, or Diplomat) will present the flag to Mayor Adams.
• Mayor Adams will receive the flag and wave it at the center of the stage.
• The Honorable Flag Holder (Distinguished Community Leader) will stay on the stage’s backdrop until all flags have been waved.
• After all flags have been waved, the Honorable Flag Holder will join the group of flag holders to form the National Flags closing Contingent, marching until the end of the Parade route.

By following these steps, we ensure a dignified and culturally rich Presentation of Nations Flags during the International Cultures - Immigrants prade, providing a platform for unity and celebration of diversity
